Florence and I arrived in Barcelona in September of 2015 with a baby boy due a few months later. Both of us were new to the city and since we only had a basic understanding of the Spanish language we decided to look for a Doula to assist us.
We found Vicky via her website and after our first time meeting with her knew that we had not only found a Doula but also a great new friend. Both of us felt so comfortable talking to her we had no doubt of using her services during the pregnancy and delivery.
The months leading up to the due date we took the Antenatal classes with Vicky which were very helpful. Her and the midwife that joined some of the classes were a great source of information and gave us a better understanding of the process here in Spain.
On the day of the delivery we were in constant contact with Vicky and we eventually met up at the hospital. Unfortunately the Dexeus hospital does not allow any doula’s to be present but Vicky helped us with the registration process and made sure we were comfortable. During the entire duration of the labor process Vicky was there for us either by phone or via messaging.
The morning after giving birth to Aiden Vicky came to visit us (bringing delicious treats), giving us some great tips and suggestions and to help us complete the paperwork for the birth certificate (she even offered to join us to register Aiden!)
The weeks after Vicky has come to our apartment on several occasions to help us with some more tips and suggestions, all in all, she has been a great help to us and we can highly recommend using her services. She is not only a very knowledgeable Doula but also a great person.
Thank you for all you have done for us Vicky, besides being a great Doula you have also become a wonderful friend!
