Online antenatal course

Last friday I finished the first online prenatal course and it has been a great success!
As It seems that due to the actual situation, we will have to wait at least two to three more months before we will be able to meet in person in any sort of meeting, course, etc. I am organising a new online antenatal course starting in a couple of weeks.

It will last 3 weeks, on fridays 24th of April, 1st and 8th of May, from 19 to 20:30h (if you prefer doing it earlier just let me know, I kept the original timing because I assumed that some of you might still be working online).

I have managed to make the online classes very dynamic using videos, pdf’s and power points… the fact of being all connected enables each of us to ask and discuss about ideas you might have in mind, therefore the course is very rich. Furthermore, I will let you know all the news I’ve got about hospitals, protocols and any information that may be useful and interesting for you.

“Vicky’s prenatal class was super helpfut! Her English is great and she is extremely knowledgable. She always made sure that any question any of us had was fully answered, and I appreciated that she often spoke to the fathers to let them know that they had an important part to play in the birthing process as well. I highly recommend taking a class with Vicky to ease some of your worries, and to prepare you for such an important day”.

The first session we will talk about what to do during the first stage of labour, called prelabour, and begining of Dilation stage (the role of your partner is very important due to the actual situation, and my suggestion is trying to stay at home as long as possible. Therefore it is crucial that both of you know what to do and what to avoid doing to go through this stage of labour as calm as possible.

The second session we will talk about Dilation stage, positions, breathing, massage and Delivery of the baby.

The last session we will go through a birth plan (I will share with you a hospital one written in English and in Spanish so you can see the vocabulary, options offered in different hospitals and clinics in Barcelona, and more…).

The fee of the course is 150€.
